Overview

What is Identity & Personal Documentation?

Identity records are held by different authorities, each with its own application, proof requirements and, often, an in-person step: Aadhaar with UIDAI, PAN through the Income Tax Department's PAN service providers, passports through Passport Seva, and voter ID with the Election Commission. A change of name becomes legally recognised through a sworn affidavit, a public notice in a newspaper and publication in the Gazette of India. Clikdocs helps you with new applications, corrections, name changes and the supporting documents they rely on: affidavits, indemnity bonds, authority and consent letters. We check your documents against what each authority accepts, set the order to correct them in, and guide you through any step only you can take.

Who it's for

Who needs it

After marriage or divorce

Adopting, adding or reverting to a surname, and needing every record to agree.

Anyone whose records disagree

A misspelt name, a wrong date of birth or an old address that is failing KYC or holding up an application.

First-time applicants and renewals

Applying for a PAN, voter ID or passport, or replacing one that is lost, damaged or about to expire.

Parents of minors

Changing or applying for a child's documents, applied for by a parent or legal guardian on the child's behalf.

Anyone asked for an affidavit or letter

Declarations, indemnity bonds, authority and consent letters for a school, bank, employer or government office.

Eligibility & requirements

Each record is corrected or issued by its own authority, against documentary proof of the correct detail
Aadhaar: name can be updated twice, and date of birth and gender once, in a lifetime; address updates have no fixed limit
Passport: changes to personal particulars need a re-issue application and a Passport Seva Kendra visit
Name change: the reason stated in a notarised affidavit, followed by a newspaper notice and a Gazette of India application
Minors apply through a parent or legal guardian
Affidavits: made by the person stating the facts, on stamp paper of the value your state requires, and attested by a notary, oath commissioner or magistrate

Why is it needed?

Most verifications now match your details across documents, so a single mismatch can hold up a bank account, a loan, a job offer or a visa, and a returned application can cost weeks. Correcting records in the right sequence, against the right proof, with a properly drafted and stamped affidavit where one is needed, means you do it once rather than again and again.

How we get it done

1

Requirement check

We confirm what you need, which authority handles it and which proof it accepts in your situation.

2

Documents reviewed

Names, dates and addresses are matched across your documents, and we set the order to correct them in.

3

Drafting and applications

Affidavits and letters are drafted for their purpose and stamped correctly; forms are completed and checked.

4

Submission and appointments

Applications are filed. Where you must attend in person or approve by OTP, we guide you through it.

5

Documents issued

Each application is followed until the new or corrected document is in your hands.

Why Clikdocs

Why work with us

Every record reviewed together

We look at all your documents at once, not one form at a time, so a fix does not create a new mismatch.

The right proof, first time

Proof is checked before anything is submitted, and affidavits are worded for their purpose and stamped correctly.

Clear about what only you can do

Where an authority needs you in person or by OTP, we say so plainly and prepare you, rather than promising a shortcut.

Followed to the finish

Each application is tracked until the document is issued, and you can follow it on your Clikdocs dashboard.
